Helianthus, commonly known as Sunflower is a genus annual and perennial flowering plants in the daisy family Asteraceae. Each “flower” is actually a disc made up of tiny flowers, to form a larger false flower to better attract pollinators majority of Sunflower varieties are yellow while there are other colors too including orange, red and purple. It is a very fast growing plant, in fact, it requires around only 100 days from planting to reach maturity.The plant will grow upto 100 to 120 Inches bearing one or more flowers it can be grown in any month of the year except during freezing temperatures.
